Viega LLC’s new Automatic Recirculation Balancing Valve ensures a balanced domestic water recirculation system by dynamically changing with varying conditions. The Automatic Recirculation Balancing Valve will be on display at Viega’s booth (N1715) at the International Builders’ Show (IBS), Feb. 19-21, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Automatic Recirculation Balancing Valve The results are faster hot water delivery, minimized wasted energy and water and low chance of contaminationThe valve, which will be available in North American markets in May, is a modification of a Viega product that has been used successfully in Europe for years. It helps keep water temperatures more uniform by adjusting flow with changes in temperature. The results are faster hot water delivery, minimized wasted energy and water and less stagnation and chance of contamination. Among the valve’s features: Unlike with manual valves, temperature can be set once and be maintained automatically. Settings can be changed easily, if needed. Can be installed on risers or branches Remote monitoring with temperature sensor Optional thermometer provides visual indication of valve setting Threaded ends allow it to be used with Viega ProPress or Viega PureFlow fittings systems Can be easily tied into automated building systems with an actuator Includes bypass for thermal disinfection Additional accessories that can be used with the valve include an actuator, thermometer, drain valve and optional insulation sleeve. Efficiency in improving water quality “Viega is committed to providing hot water quickly and efficiently while improving water quality and the new Automatic Recirculation Balancing Valve is a significant step toward that goal,” said Paige Riddle, product manager of valves at Viega LLC. “This valve offers more features than any other on the market while requiring minimum work on the part of designers, engineers, installers and building maintenance personnel.” Viega is a family owned international manufacturer of plumbing and HVAC solutions. Viega LLC’s innovative Smart Control for water-based radiant systems gives homeowners an unprecedented level of control over house temperatures while also saving installers time and money. Smart Control radiant system The Smart Control is on display at Viega’s booth (N1715) at the International Builders’ Show (IBS), Feb. 19-21, 2019 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. The product is a version of technology originally developed for the European market and will be available in North America for the first time this fall. It allows homeowners to control temperatures by individual room or zone via thermostats in each room or remotely through a website. It’s programmable and, like “smart thermostats,” it can over time anticipate homeowners’ patterns and preferences and adjust temperatures accordingly. It also can be used to lower energy use when a homeowner is on vacation or absent for a period of time. It has been proven to reduce energy use by 30 percent. Superior heating and cooling technology Homeowners and builders already love radiant systems for their even comfort, low maintenance and efficiency" “Homeowners and builders already love radiant systems for their even comfort, low maintenance and efficiency,” said Joshua Quint, product manager, heating and cooling at Viega LLC. “Smart Control will make it easier for them to customize the systems to maximize savings while still providing superior heating and cooling.” Smart Control also benefits homebuilders, designers and installers. The auto-balancing base unit is installed next to the manifold and eliminates the time-consuming process of manually balancing loops in the system, allowing for quicker installation and shorter deadlines.
