Abdula Maulik, the General Manager of the Project Development Department, State Electric Company Limited, Maldives, issued the Final Acceptance Certificate (FAC) for the Diesel Engine Generation and Seawater Desalination Project in the Maldives to Dongfang Electric International Corporation, which represented the complete successful performance of the project.
On November 25, DEC completed China's first self-developed F-class 50 MW heavy-duty gas turbine, which was ready for delivery in Deyang, Southwest China's Sichuan province, indicating a scientific and technological breakthrough in the heavy gas turbine field in China. The turbine can reduce carbon emissions by over 500,000 tons a year. It will produce more than 70 MWh of electricity per hour in a combined cycle power generation system, meeting the demand of 7,000 households for a whole day.
DEC has won the bid to supply a turbine generator unit for the 300 MW compressed air energy storage power plant in China's Hubei province. When completed, this compressed air energy storage power plant is projected to produce around 500 GWh of green energy per year. It will play an important role in sustainable development and industry upgrading in Hubei province.

The 10th power-generating unit at the Baihetan hydropower station in southwest China has been in commercial operation since unit 7, developed by DEC, launched on August 2. The 16 GW mega power plant is installed with eight units supplied by DEC. Once fully operated, it will generate around 62,443 GWh of clean power per year, cutting standard coal consumption by 19.68 million tons and CO2 emissions by 51.6 million tons.
The Meizhou Pumped Storage Power Station, installed with 4 × 300 MW units, developed by DEC, was launched on May 28, after four years of construction. Located in Meizhou, South China’s Guangdong province, the station is slated to cut the standard coal consumption by 171,000 tons and CO2 emissions by 428,000 tons per year.

The second unit using China’s home-grown third-generation nuclear power technology 'HPR1000' has begun generating electricity. The major parts of the unit were developed by DEC.
