Climate Wizard Hybrid: Energy Efficient Hybrid HVAC System By Seeley International

Seeley International is proud to announce the launch of the high-performance Climate Wizard Hybrid, the world’s most energy-efficient HVAC system. Specifically designed for the Californian market, this innovative technology promises to transform the way businesses and schools approach climate control, offering unmatched energy savings and other significant environmental benefits. Unprecedented Energy Savings and Environmental Benefits The Climate Wizard Hybrid unit delivers on average 60% cooling energy savings compared to traditional air conditioning systems; greater than 40% reduction in peak demand, while delivering 100% fresh and safer air, it doubles the outside air rate against code without enduring an energy penalty, ensuring faster payback and lower operational costs. Key advantages include significant reductions in peak demand helping the electrical grid; enables full electrification and decarbonization on any site; lower carbon footprint supported by and over 50% reduction in CO2 emissions and reduced GWP potential. Proven Effectiveness The Climate Wizard Hybrid has proven its efficiency and reliability in real-world applications Supported by a comprehensive study conducted by UC Davis, the Climate Wizard Hybrid has proven its efficiency and reliability in real-world applications. The study highlights the unit’s superior performance, making it a smart choice for businesses and institutions aiming for sustainability and cost-efficiency. Headline outcomes show cooling mode with compressor engaged saved 63-72%, on average twice the OA ventilation rate versus code, and overall, annual savings over 30% compared to the baseline with comfort zone maintained. The study can be accessed here. Target Markets Designed to cater to various sectors, the Climate Wizard Hybrid is ideal for many small to mid-size verticals including schools, restaurants, office, and health facilities. These environments will benefit from the system’s innovative features, ensuring a healthier and more comfortable atmosphere while significantly cutting energy costs. Powerful Endorsement John Fraser-Mifsud, President of Seeley International, said “Seeley International is dedicated to pioneering sustainable climate control solutions. Our high-performance Climate Wizard Hybrid is a testament to our commitment to innovation, efficiency and building safer indoor environments, and we are excited to establish this technology in California.” He adds, “We recognize the challenges designers, engineers and facilities have when it comes to managing the dichotomy of reducing electricity consumption, while simultaneously elevating larger volumes of fresh filtered air into the space, particularly on those warmer days; we do this very effectively and better than all other technologies on the market today.”

Australian Government Unveils Plans For A New ‘Net Zero Authority’ To Aid In Transition Towards A More Sustainable Future

The Australian government has unveiled plans for a new ‘net zero authority’ to oversee the transition to renewable energy. The authority’s goals include supporting workers in emissions-intensive sectors to transition to new jobs, coordinating programs to attract and take advantage of new clean energy industries across the regions, and assisting investors and companies to harness net-zero transformation opportunities. New ‘net zero authority’ The announcement has been welcomed by industry groups, unions, and regional communities as an important step towards reaching net zero emissions. However, the nation’s largest air conditioning manufacturer has criticized the government’s ‘obsession’ with ending the use of gas in homes and businesses. The air conditioning manufacturer argues that the push to switch households off gas will increase emissions and put more stress on family budgets. Seeley states that ‘less gas equals more coal' as the electricity grid comes under pressure amid growing demand. Seeley highlights danger to Stability of the energy grid There will be severe consequences for the stability of the energy grid According to Jon Seeley, the Group Managing Director of Seeley International, “This relentless push to fully electrify our homes and businesses, despite the enormous cost to families, will put our already vulnerable energy grid under enormous pressure.” There will be severe consequences for the stability of the energy grid and a significant increase in emissions, if five million homes that use gas daily are switched to the electricity grid. Transitioning towards a more sustainable future “We know it’s in the nation’s interests for Australian industries in the regions to be investing in decarbonization and, therefore, it is in the interests of the government to help,” adds Jon Seeley. In the midst of debates over the future of gas, Seeley International has already taken significant steps to transition towards a more sustainable future. The company has committed to ensuring its gas heaters are hydrogen ready, demonstrating its preparedness to embrace new technologies as they become available. Gas industry could play a vital role in the transition Jon Seeley has also argued that the gas industry could play a vital role in the transition to renewables, as it decarbonizes its operations and distribution networks, increasingly blending in zero-emission fuel sources, such as biomethane and green hydrogen. As the push towards renewables continues to gain momentum, it is clear that companies like Seeley International need to take proactive steps towards a more sustainable future.

Seeley International Calls On Federal And State Governments To Confirm Heating And Ventilation As An Essential Service

Australia’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning manufacturer, Seeley International calls on the Federal and State Governments to confirm that it will be recognized as an Essential Service provider, should wider geographic and industry lockdowns come into force as part of escalating COVID-19 response measures.  Seeley International Group Managing Director, Mr. Jon Seeley, said, “Good heating and fresh air ventilation are essential to good health, and must be maintained, especially going into winter. Viruses thrive in cold environments, which is why flu season peaks in winter.”  Susceptible to infection  “If people don’t keep warm, they are far more susceptible to infection, and their respiratory symptoms will be much worse. More people will develop pneumonia from both COVID-19 and the flu, and more will die from it.”  “Our factories, distribution and service operations now have strict hygiene and containment protocols in place to protect our staff and customers.”  “If we are forced to shut down, some 50,000 homes, workplaces, aged care facilities, hospitals and government offices across Australia simply will not get the heating and ventilation equipment and servicing they require to keep people safe and well this winter,” Mr. Seeley said.  Shut-down exemptions  “This applies equally to our dealers and contractors providing critical heating and ventilation services across Australia and around the world. New Zealand and USA have both provided shut-down exemptions that cover our operations, and Australia needs to do the same.”  “We are providing an essential service to our country at this critical time, preventing the impending health crisis from becoming much worse than it needs to be. It is therefore imperative that any shutdown will not prevent us from continuing to supply these essential services.”  Seeley International joins a call by the Australian Industry Group to have the Federal Government urgently clarify its definition of what is an essential service that should remain in operation despite fast-changing COVID-19 containment measures, to minimize unintended and potentially disastrous consequences.
