The Eurovent Product Group ‘Commercial Refrigeration Equipment’ (PG-RDC) has elected Victor Gomara (R&D Director, Koxka) as its new Vice-Chairperson. The elections took place during the group’s online meeting on 10 May 2023. Victor Gomara succeeds Jesus Beraza (Chief Commercial Officer Europe, Middle East, Africa & Oceania, Koxka) as the Vice-Chairperson and will be supporting Maurizio Orlandi, Chairperson of the group, in his new role. Extensive industry experience Victor Gomara brings forth great value to the group, as he has been involved in Eurovent for more than 20 years with valuable experience in product performance, refrigeration system design and components selection, as well as knowledgeable expertise on the implementation of Ecodesign and Energy Labeling Regulation. Upon being elected, Victor Gomara expressed: “I would like to thank the PG-RDC participants for the trust placed in me. This Product Group is composed of the major experts in commercial refrigeration, representing the most important European industries, and therefore, it is an honor to take this new role as Vice-Chairperson.” Attitude of proactivity and commitment We have clarified and harmonized the interpretation of these new requirements" Victor Gomara adds: “Over the years, we have demonstrated an attitude of proactivity and commitment regarding incoming regulations. We have provided valuable information to legislators. We have clarified and harmonized the interpretation of these new requirements, helping the industry and the market.” He continues: “As a result, we have effectively promoted the use of more efficient solutions that not only benefit our customers, but also contribute to the reduction of carbon emissions. I am fully convinced that, by continuing this way, we are strengthening our industry worldwide, and helping to protect the environment for future generations significantly.” Eurovent Product Group (PG-RDC) The Eurovent Product Group ‘Commercial Refrigeration Equipment’ (PG-RDC) covers refrigerated display cabinets (remote and integral units), walk-in cold rooms, commercial beverage coolers, ice-cream freezers and refrigeration packs. It is the largest European working group of commercial refrigeration equipment manufacturers, and the group is supported by the Eurovent Member Associations on a national level.
On 18 and 19 April 2023, Eurovent will be at HVACR Live, the United Kingdom’s national event for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration sectors. Exhibitors will be showcasing products, solutions and supplies from market leaders. Attend presentations hosted by Eurovent experts All expo participants are cordially invited to attend a presentation by Ian Butler (Program Manager and Auditor) Eurovent Certita Certification, on ‘Reliability of Air Handling Unit Data: Consequences for Energy Consumption’ on April 18, 2023, at 11:30h and another by Beyza Aykurt (Senior Market Intelligence Analyst) Eurovent Market Intelligence, titled ‘British versus European HVACR market: Comparison of key features and market evolution’ on April 19, 2023, at 13:00h. Both presentations will be conducted in the Conference Theatre.
Eurovent Product Group ‘Rooftop Units’ has published the first release of its Guidebook on rooftop units. The Guidebook gives an insight into types, design, applications, operation, selection and maintenance of rooftop units. Eurovent has published it’s first-ever Guidebook on rooftop units, which provides a comprehensive overview of the rooftop technology. ISH 2023 event participants are invited to obtain a printed copy of the Guidebook during the exhibition at the Eurovent booth: A64, in Hall 8.0. Filip Konieczny, the Business Development Manager at FLOWAIR and Chairman of the Eurovent PG-RT, stated: “Rooftop Units are becoming increasingly popular in many European markets. The reason is their excellent ability to efficiently maintain Indoor Environmental Quality." He adds, "Ensuring both thermal comfort and proper Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) means simplification and universality.
