WEG, a global manufacturer of motors and drives, will showcase its solutions for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) applications at the Warsaw HVAC Expo in Poland.

Held on 27 to 29 February 2024, the exhibition will see WEG present its diverse range of equipment for the sector, including its smoke extraction motors, the W20 and W22 motor lines, as well as drives and digital solutions.

IE3 efficiency-rated motor

Three-phase IE3 efficiency-rated motor has a power rating range of 0.75 kW up to 315 kW

The W22 range of three-phase induction motors is designed to lower energy consumption and provide a lower cost of ownership. For HVAC applications, these motors can also ensure enhanced airflow for improved reliability and include a frame design that enhances heat exchange between the motor and its surrounding environment. This design minimizes hot spots on the frame surface and extends the intervals between bearing lubrication.

The range will be displayed alongside the W20 motor line. This three-phase IE3 efficiency-rated motor has a power rating range of 0.75 kW up to 315 kW. It is available with an aluminum frame for frame sizes 80 to 132 and a cast-iron frame from 160 up to 355 and offers seamless adaptability and increased flexibility through its multi-mounting frames.

WEG General Purpose line

For attendees at the HVAC Expo, the F400 smoke extraction motor line will also be of interest

In addition, WEG will demonstrate the WEG General Purpose (WGP) line of three-phase electric motors. The WGP line boasts an IP55 rating, ensuring protection against both water and dust. This prevents damage, corrosion, and electrical failures, ultimately guaranteeing compliance with standards and safety in various indoor and outdoor environments. The WGP line is available in efficiency ratings up to IE4 and from 0.12 kW up to 355 kW.

For attendees at the HVAC Expo, the F400 smoke extraction motor line will also be of interest. This advanced range has been developed to ensure air circulation in closed environments. In emergency situations, the motors can operate at temperatures of up to 400°C for up to two hours, ensuring fast smoke extraction and heat dissipation.

Demonstration of WEG MFM

The system extracts data from motors, drives, fans, pumps, or compressors and transmits it to the cloud

Our motors can greatly enhance HVAC equipment, promising greater reliability and efficiency,” says Kamil Rygiel sales account manager at WEG Poland. “The Warsaw HVAC Expo provides the chance to engage with both existing and prospective customers. Our aim is always to help our customers improve their operations, achieving sustainability and efficiency in their HVAC operations.”

Also on the stand will be a demonstration of WEG Motion Fleet Management (MFM), a performance monitoring tool for electric motors and other industrial equipment. The system extracts data from motors, drives, fans, pumps, or compressors and transmits it to the cloud. This can be transformed into real-time insights for engineers to remotely monitor the performance of their industrial assets.

New CFW900 model

Lastly, WEG will exhibit its extensive variable frequency drive (VSD) series, including the CFW500 and the new CFW900 model. VSDs vary the frequency and voltage of the power supply to an electric motor according to the requirements of the application, significantly reducing energy consumption and reducing costs in HVAC applications.

The WEG team will be available at stand number ## to provide consultation and guidance on its motors, drives and digital solutions for the sector.
