SPX Cooling Technologies, Inc., a full-line, full-service industry renowned provider of the design and manufacture of evaporative cooling towers, announces the Marley NC Fiberglass Cooling Tower, which offers robust materials, certified performance, and simpler maintenance. The Marley NC Fiberglass Cooling Tower’s construction is designed for the corrosion resistance and service life requirements of demanding HVAC and industrial applications.

Wetted components of fiberglass reinforced polyester (FRP) perform reliably in the hot, moist confines of the cooling tower. Steel support structure options include hot-dip galvanized steel, 304 stainless steel and 316 stainless steel to help withstand exposure to very harsh environments.

Suitable for applications with flowrates up to 7000 m3/hour, the Marley NC Fiberglass tower is certified by the Cooling Technology Institute (CTI) and Eurovent for thermal performance. Tower selections offer numerous box sizes with cooling capacities from 450-6400 kW (1455 nominal tons) per cell at standard CTI conditions.

Industrial-strength Marley mechanical components include a five-year warranty, a Marley Geareducer gear drive that requires no maintenance for the first five years of operation, and a low-sound fan as standard. Sound levels are independently verified by a CTI-licensed test agency and acoustical engineer.

Integral louvers incorporated into the tower design help prevent water splashout, exposure to sunlight that encourages microbial growth, and formation of ice during cold weather operation. Additionally, maintenance processes often require less downtime, because the Marley NC Fiberglass Cooling Tower’s crossflow design permits inspection and cleaning of the water distribution system while pumps are operating.
