SPX Cooling Tech, LLC, the globally renowned full-line, full-service industry major in the design and manufacture of evaporative cooling towers and fluid coolers, will feature new and innovative products in Booth B1819, at the International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigeration Exposition (AHR Expo).

AHR Expo 2023 takes place from Feb. 6 to Feb. 8, 2023, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

SPX Cooling to exhibit at AHR Expo 2023

SPX Cooling’s booth will focus primarily on ‘naturally efficient, naturally cool’ products

SPX Cooling’s booth will focus primarily on ‘naturally efficient, naturally cool’ products from the Marley® brand, showcasing how many of the brand’s evaporative cooling products are designed using processes derived from nature and/or built to help limit the use of natural resources, without sacrificing performance and quality.

Two main attractions in the booth will be the Marley MH Element™ Fluid Cooler and the Marley WaterGard™ system:

  • Marley® MH Element™ Fluid Cooler

The Marley® MH Element™ Fluid Cooler combines evaporative fill media and unique copper heat transfer coils in its innovation design to provide the highest heat rejection per footprint of any closed-circuit cooling tower, reducing space and energy requirements up to 35% or more versus traditional HDG coil fluid coolers.

Optional direct-drive EC fan motors on select models offer up to 15% additional fan energy reduction while eliminating maintenance headaches of belt drives and lowering operation and install costs.

  • Marley® WaterGard™ Water Usage Optimizer

The Marley® WaterGard™ Water Usage Optimizer pre-conditions cooling tower makeup (supply) water to enable equipment operation at the same cooling efficiency, while conserving blowdown (outgoing) water.

Featuring membrane technology

WaterGard physically blocks salts commonly found in municipal water streams

Using membrane technology, WaterGard physically blocks salts commonly found in municipal water streams (i.e., chlorides, calcium carbonate, etc.), removing significant salt content before the water is supplied to the cooling tower.

Other features in the booth will include scale models of popular Marley cooling towers, unique aftermarket options and various instructional video displays on other evaporative cooling products, such as the Marley DT™ Fluid Cooler and the aforementioned WaterGard system.

‘Cooling Tower Fundamentals’ session

Additionally, SPX technical experts Gary Stauffer, Sales Engineer, and Mark Pfeifer, Manager, Technical Services, will co-present ‘Cooling Tower Fundamentals’ in Room B311 on Monday, Feb. 6 at 11:30 a.m. EST.

This free program – offering PDH/CEUs – provides an overview of the basics of cooling tower technology and application.

Topics to be covered include common cooling tower terms, how cooling towers work

Topics to be covered include common cooling tower terms, how cooling towers work, the most common configurations in use today, and key design considerations for successfully applying cooling towers on both HVAC and light industrial systems.

SPX Cooling Media Booth Tour

Media professionals can attend SPX Cooling’s Media Booth Tour on Monday, Feb. 6 at 2:00 p.m. EST for more information about all the Marley products being displayed at AHR Expo 2023.

Digital press kits will be distributed to those interested at this time. Other attendees are encouraged to visit Booth B1819 any time during open exhibit hall hours or visit spxcooling.com for more information.
