SmartAC.com is proud to introduce its innovative “Connect” offer, designed to give contractors a way to stay connected to homeowners who decline to sign up for service agreements.

The new app-only service offers many of the key benefits of the SmartAC.com software platform, while incorporating some new features to empower contractors to foster lasting relationships with the great majority of homeowners who historically haven’t been willing to commit to a full membership.

SmartAC.com’s mission

Connect offering is a wing of SmartAC.com’s mission to make home comfort simple and proactive

The “Connect” offering is an extension of SmartAC.com’s mission to make home comfort simple and proactive. With it, they’re launching two new features to bolster the app’s value. Homeowners will now be able to integrate their smart thermostats to get high-level insights and alerts on their HVAC performance.

Also, the new chat and video call features allow customers to immediately connect with contractors, in whatever way they choose, to get fast feedback on the best plan of action for any issue they’re having at their home.

First-time customer interactions

Our north star is to help contractors acquire an ongoing relationship in 90% of first-time customer interactions,” said Josh Teekell, CEO of SmartAC.com.

To accomplish that, we’re bringing to market a compelling app offering at a price point that can be fully subsidized by the contractor. Offering a service with ongoing value, for a small upfront amount or for free to customers who just aren’t going to pay monthly for a membership, allows contractors to tap into a previously unreached persona.”

Loyalty reward features

This app offering should be purely additive without cannibalizing your existing membership sales,” Teekell added.

The convenience and loyalty reward features alone are enough to keep homeowners from looking elsewhere in the future. Keeping them off Google is a huge win!”

Multiple levels of service

Traditionally, care deals have been the prior method for keeping clients engaged

Strengthening the bond between contractors and homeowners has always been the sole focus for SmartAC.com. Traditionally, maintenance agreements have been the primary method for keeping customers engaged.

However, with an average plan sign-up rate of 20%, the industry is ripe for a drastic change in the approach. Many pioneering contractors now offer multiple levels of service to allow homeowners to select a plan that suits them.

HVAC and plumbing systems

SmartAC.com anticipates its core offering will continue to make up a majority of its business. Fault detection from 24/7 remote visibility into HVAC and plumbing systems enables the best overall experience for homeowners, the longest operational life of equipment, and an extremely targeted approach to maximize the value created by a skilled workforce.

Homeowners are seeing the value too, as the company has tracked a 97.8% annual retention rate on memberships powered by its platform.
