The Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors' National Association (SMACNA) named Liz Fong, Operations Integration Manager, MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions in Seattle, Washington, as the recipient of its 2025 SMACNA Innovator of the Year Award.

The honor recognizes contractors who are pioneers of innovative approaches to industry-wide challenges and pacesetters who harness the latest construction technology to drive the industry forward, celebrating outstanding achievements by an individual who champions improvements that benefit both their workplace and the broader industry.

Fong received the award at the 2025 MEP Innovation Conference, the preeminent technology conference for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, service, and sheet metal contractors.

According to her nomination, Liz consistently demonstrates a commitment to excellence and progress and is open to new ideas and solutions that push the industry forward. It further states, “Her expertise in deploying technology in real-world environments has not only established best practices but also paved the way for future advancements.”
