Secop will be introducing improved versions of BD1.4F compressor types for 12 V DC and 12/24 V DC applications. The compressors will also be released for R1234yf and have a further optimized noise level.

R1234yf, the low GWP and standard refrigerant for car air conditioning systems, has now also been approved for compressors installed in e.g. car minibars or truck refrigerators. The BD1.4F-AUTO.3 and BD1.4F-VSD.3 can operate with both refrigerants, R134a and R1234yf and are labelled accordingly.

The new models have a reduction of up to 15 dB(A) for contact noise, up to 5 dB(A) for start-up noise, up to 2 dB(A) for running noise, compared to BD Micro first generation. The lower noise level has been achieved by a redesign of several inner parts of the compressor. All other technical specifications will remain the same.
