Resideo Technologies Inc., a global provider of home comfort and security solutions announced that it is starting the construction of a new leading-edge technical center in Lotte. The move highlights Resideo’s commitment to the district, and the new technical center will be home to existing Lotte-based employees who specialize in the measuring and testing of safety devices for global boiler manufacturers.

To mark the start of the construction Resideo colleagues organized a traditional Spatenstich ceremony; inviting the local architects and construction company to join them in throwing the first shovel of sand together.

Investing in our new center builds on our relationship with the district and demonstrates our support for the local economy. It was important for us to respect the Spatenstich tradition. My focus is on ensuring that we think and act locally in all the European countries we operate in to meet the current, and future, products and solutions needs of our customers.”

Christian Engelmeyer, Lotte software development team leader, added: “After a lot of preparation and planning, I am really pleased that the construction work is now starting.
