The increase of the electricity price carries the need to reduce the system management costs: the first thing to do is to understand which machines are too much energy-intensive. Here is the CLIMASET s.r.l. solution: CAREL energy meters + energy plugin for boss supervisors.

CAREL energy meters record the consumption of each machine and they allow users to carry out a complete and detailed analysis to:

  • Identify when and where consumption occurs;
  • Identify wrong behaviors and uses;
  • Diagnose faults and anomalous absorptions;
  • Evaluate the effects of the Energy saving actions to be undertaken.

Various refrigeration equipment

Users can activate the optional energy management plugin for boss range supervisors

Let’s take as an example an industrial warehouse: energy meters could be used to measure the consumption of lights, various refrigeration equipment, and conditioning, but also for generic loads.

Energy meters are then connected via RS-485 (using the Modbus protocol) to a boss range supervisor.

For advanced energy management, users can activate the optional energy management plugin for boss range supervisors, which allows the end-user or the system operator to monitor electricity consumption through simple summary graphics and reports.

With the plugin for energy management users can:

  • Record and monitor of consumption data relating to the system with settable time base (day, month, year, etc.)
  • Process of automatic reports, tables and graphs for the historical data of the system, to be kept and archived;
  • Monitor and identify possible critical events and send emails, SMS, instant messaging app for implementing corrective actions.
