NAVAC, the world’s largest supplier of HVAC vacuum pumps in addition to a wide array of tools, gauges, charging machines, and other industry-specific items, will exhibit a variety of innovative products at the 2018 HARDI Annual Conference to be held December 1-4 at the JW Marriott in Austin, Texas.

This four-day event is the HVAC/R industry’s initiative to bring together distributors, manufacturers, and other vendors.

User-Friendly equipment

NAVAC recently joined the North American HVAC/R market with more than 600 employees and sales of its efficient, user-friendly tools in over 80 countries.

The company seeks to meet the HVAC/R industry’s need for user-friendly equipment

The company seeks to meet the HVAC/R industry’s need for user-friendly equipment and tools that are less complicated and save time – both crucial to busy technicians needing to conduct efficient yet accurate service. The items to be exhibited at this year’s show are the NRC62i Smart Refrigerant Charger, the battery-powered NEF6Li Cordless Power Flare, and the compact and lightweight NP2DLM Cordless Vacuum Pump.

NRC62i Smart Refrigerant Charger

Combining strength and precision, the NRC62i smart charging unit offers automatic operation for easy, reliable system evacuation and refrigerant charging. The machine’s powerful twin-cylinder vacuum pump rapidly and reliably evacuate an HVAC system to its preset vacuum level, with progress displayed digitally via a monitor and wireless scale.

Upon reaching the preset vacuum level, the unit automatically conducts dry operation and leak detection and – also automatically – commences the charging function per predetermined parameters. The NRC62i then shuts itself down once charging is complete. Automating the refrigerant evacuation and recharge process is a significant step forward from traditional processes, which typically employ vacuum pumps, manifold gauges, charging scales, refrigerant tubing, and other connection devices, and are highly dependent on a technician’s experience level and judgment.

Battery-Powered NEF6Li Cordless Power Flare

The NEF6Li Cordless Power Flare also offers variable speed control and quick-connect functionality

NAVAC’s cordless power flare provides fast, accurate automatic flaring, saving busy technicians time and hassle. A welcome departure from creating flares manually, the NEF6Li Cordless Power Flare comes equipped with a high-performance, large-capacity rechargeable lithium battery, making flaring faster and far simpler without sacrificing accuracy or consistency.

Designed to perform reliably in harsh environments, the NEF6Li Cordless Power Flare also offers variable speed control and quick-connect functionality. It comes in a sturdy blow-molded case with four tube holders, six commonly-sized flare dies, two batteries, a charger, a premium tubing cutter, and a deburring tool.

NP2DLM Cordless Vacuum Pump

The North American market’s first cordless vacuum pump, the NP2DLM Cordless Vacuum Pump is a compact, lightweight unit suitable for small HVAC systems such as mini-split ACs, PTACs, and other domestic refrigeration appliances.

Weighing just 6.6 lbs with dimensions of only 9.2″×3.5″×7.5″, the pump is convenient to carry for technicians and ideal for applications where power supply access is an issue. The dual-stage rotary vane pump can reach an ultimate vacuum level down to 23 microns, and its lithium-ion battery can operate up to one full hour. The unit has an airflow capacity of 2 cfm, and features a shut-off valve for system isolation. The unit will be commercially available in March 2019.
