Air Systems Cleaning Specialist (ASCS) certifications must be renewed by June 30 each year, and NADCA requires six (6) Continuing Education Credits (CECs) for ASCS renewal. NADCA has different options for renewal.

 Annual Meeting & Exhibition Webinar

To earn required CECs, many technicians attend Fall Technical Conference or Annual Meeting & Exhibition each year, where they can earn all the CECs required for certification renewals.

But for techs who can’t make it to an event, NADCA offers recordings of CEC-qualifying sessions as a bundled webinar package that’s available for purchase, giving all six required CECs! One can watch the CEC session recordings at any time that's convenient. Then, one will take a short multiple-choice quiz, and if he or she gets a passing score, he or she earn CECs required for ASCS renewal.

The bundle

The 33rd Annual Meeting & Exhibition Webinar bundle includes:

  • Quantifying Coil Cleaning
  • Air Duct Cleaning after Fire Restoration
  • Financial Implications of Safety Program

Experiencing excellent content

One can experience some of the excellent content from the bundle and earn CECs

So, even if one couldn’t travel to the 33rd Annual Meeting & Exhibition in March 2022, one can still experience some of the excellent content that was delivered to the in-person attendees — and earn CECs in the process. It really can’t get much easier!

The Annual Meeting webinar bundle is also available as a ‘Train-the-Trainer’ program. This means one can purchase the bundle once for and complete the quiz after reviewing each recording. Then, one can utilize the recordings and the supporting session materials to train their own techs

Reading DucTales

Last year NADCA launched a new program for earning CECs simply by reading a specific article in each designated edition of DucTales magazine, and then taking (and passing) a short quiz.

For example, the cover story in the January/February 2022 edition, “Sources of Contamination,” is worth one (1) CEC. This program is available to members only.

Webinars

One can simply select the webinar one wishes to purchase to earn CECs

NADCA offers lots of webinars on a variety of topics that can be taken on-demand for training and educational purposes, and to earn CECs toward ASCS renewal.

One can simply select the webinar one wishes to purchase, view the webinar and corresponding materials, and then pass a short quiz. The participant will automatically be awarded CECs after passing the quiz.

Renewing CVI

Unlike the ASCS, the CVI certification only needs to be renewed every three years.

To renewal this year, one should be sure to take the CVI renewal quiz before June 30, 2022. That’s it, there’s nothing more one need to do to renew CVI.
