New Baxi Multifit flue options are available as part of the Baxi Assure suite of products and services, designed to offer the complete solution for futureproof domestic hot water and heating project requirements.

Developed using insight from developers, specifiers, contractors and householders, the new Baxi range of flues will help to provide solutions for different styles of housing. For high-rise buildings in particular, they will comply with the installation requirements of recent regulation changes.

High-rise compliant

Designed to be fully high-rise compliant, the latest additions to the Multifit range are the 1.8m Highrise Horizontal Flue Terminal 60/100mm and 2m Highrise Flue Extension 60/100, both of which are suitable for installation in buildings over 18 metres. Both extensions are interchangeable with standard flue terminals to support installers when refitting flues to meet new regulations.

Flues are suitable to run outside of buildings and can pass through thick walls and cladding

The extended length and a UV stable paint covering which is also fire retardant, mean the flues are suitable to run outside of buildings and can pass through thick walls and cladding, with a reduced need for inspection hatches. These flues are treated to protect against condensation and prevent the exhaust deteriorating over time.

While the flues have been designed for external use, it is still important that they are installed in line with the manufacturer’s instructions. Installers should always ensure the flues do not exceed permissible lengths, that they are supported using the brackets supplied and that the siting of the flue terminal is compliant with regulations.

Highrise plume displacement kit

The new range also features a Highrise plume displacement kit which comes fully equipped with flue, boiler elbow and wall sealing rubbers. This means installers will have everything they need to install it. The 1m 60mm exhaust and a 90-degree bend, also allow for greater flexibility when siting a boiler.

Anthony Watton, Head of Residential Specification, commented, “Here at Baxi, we make sure our products are designed to meet the specific needs of our clients. Thats why the new Baxi Multifit flue options have been designed with social housing customers in mind. We are proud to be a British manufacturer offering innovative solutions for todays challenges, giving our clients the confidence Baxi can support them now and in the future.”
