Marcone Group, a North American distributor of appliance, HVAC, plumbing, commercial kitchen, and pool and spa parts and equipment, announced that Kate Sberna has been named Chief Human Resources Officer.

In this new position, Sberna oversees employment for Marcone's team of 2,500. She looks forward to supporting pioneers and employees as they create action plans that move the company forward.

Sberna has more than 25 years of experience in heading talent development and acquisition, as well as total rewards and implementing workforce strategies related to leadership development, performance management, employee engagement, and succession planning.

Sberna also served as Chief Talent Officer at Sterling Construction and for 12 years at Aggreko

Most recently, she served as Chief People Officer for real estate investment company Venterra Realty.  Before that, she was Chief Human Resources Officer at United Site Services, where she provided strategic and operational support to align people programs with business growth. 

Sberna also served as Chief Talent Officer at Sterling Construction and for 12 years at Aggreko where she held a variety of senior-level global roles, pioneering both HR Teams and transformation programs.

Marcone has more than tripled in size in recent years through its geographic reach, product offering, and addressable market. It completed nine strategic acquisitions in the HVAC, plumbing, and pool and spa sectors and launched a high-growth commercial kitchen business.
