Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announces the release of an explosion proof portable ventilation exhaust fan for improving air flow in combustible, confined and hazardous spaces.

This exhaust-only fan is waterproof and compatible with 120V AC. This unit features non-sparking, non-metallic blades that actively prevent sparks from occurring. The EPF-VFP-12-120V-NFK-15C-16.3-EPP explosion proof ventilation exhaust fan is rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups C and D; and Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F and G hazardous locations.

Explosion Proof Exhaust Fan

This unit carries an IP54 rating and operates on 120V AC drawing 8.6 amps at startup. This exhaust fan offers 3600 RPM from a 3/4 horsepower motor and is capable of providing 2500 CFM of air flow. This unit weighs 36 lbs and measures 17.13” by 16.93” by 25.36”.

Larson Electronics’ explosion proof exhaust fan features a carrying handle and rubber feet as well as a 12” inlet for connecting 12” ducts (ducts not included). This unit offers a T3B temperature rating and comes with 15 feet of 16/3 SOOW cord fitted with an explosion proof cord cap. Suitable applications for this exhaust-only fan include hazardous locations, confined spaces, chemical plants, and more.
