Panasonic Group (hereafter referred to as “Panasonic”) will host the Kid Witness News (KWN) Global Summit 2022 online on Saturday, December 3, 2022. This year's summit will be held from 9:00 p.m. to 10:40 p.m. (Japan Standard Time, GMT+9), with the participation of children from a total of 19 schools from six countries, in addition to various stakeholders.
The children were selected to represent their countries in contests to choose the best video production entry from among the applicants. Participants will gather in each country, and each location will be connected to a studio in Hamacho, Tokyo, which will broadcast the program live on the Internet.
In this program, Panasonic will show the children's work and their interactions, and present awards to the most outstanding productions.

Features
The summit will feature the presentation of three awards for the most outstanding productions submitted by each country.
- The KWN Kids Award will be decided by votes from participating children.
- The Panasonic Award will be awarded based on votes collected from Panasonic Group employees.
- The KWN Fans Award will be awarded based on votes from the general public. Everyone around the world is able to cast their votes easily online.

In addition, on the day of the livestream of the summit, a variety of scenes of international exchange between the children, including a joint declaration on the SDGs by the participating schools, presentations of video workshops in each country, and other initiatives will be presented.
Ahead of the summit, in early November, videos and pictures with SDGs-themed messages from children around the world will be accepted.
Some of the submitted messages will be selected for streaming on the day of the summit and be broadcast worldwide. Schoolmates, homework buddies, friends, and even individuals are warmly invited to submit their messages. Details of submission requirements will be posted on the KWN Facebook page in early November.
