Johnson Controls, the global pioneer for smart, healthy, and sustainable buildings, has again been named to the 2024 S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook, recognizing the world’s pioneering companies for sustainable business practices.
Based on S&P Global's rigorous Corporate Sustainability Assessment, only companies scoring in the top 15% of their industry are included. The more than 9,400 companies assessed for the 2023 CSA were considered for inclusion in The Sustainability Yearbook 2024, with only 759 companies that made it in.

Johnson Controls is creating and deploying technology to accelerate its net zero journey. The company has already reduced absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 43% since 2017, well on its way to the 2030 Science Based Target Initiative (SBTi) target of 55%.
The company also sources 42% of clean electricity across its global operations and has reduced Scope 3 emissions by 28% since 2017.
