Johnson Controls is pleased to celebrate National Skilled Trades Day by confirming the second cohort of schools receiving funding as part of their Community College Partnership Program. In 2021, Johnson Controls agreed to fund $15M over five years to help support the community college’s HVAC, fire, security, and digital academic programs.

Workforce development programs

Johnson Controls continues to be a pioneer in providing workforce development programs amidst a national trade workforce shortage, helping to build the next generation of green-minded skilled workers. They continue their efforts through the following:

  • Partnership with the STEM 101 program, which bridges the STEM career awareness gap for students
  • Completed eight HVAC labs, with three in progress for Fall 2022 and nine in development for 2022-2023
  • “Train the Trainer” program
  • Funding nearly $80 million to their Johnson Controls Foundation to support U.S. charitable organizations
