Johnson Controls will help Lubbock County, Texas address deferred maintenance in 43 facilities, improving lighting, HVAC and plumbing as well as installing a building asset management system. The upgrades will be enabled through a Tax-Exempt Lease Purchase (TELP) that is expected to produce $7.3 million in energy savings over 15 years.

Lubbock County was able to address aging infrastructure without disrupting their budget, bond rating or raising taxes. Future capital funds that would have been spent on equipment failures or replacements can now be redirected into other projects within the county to help provide its community with a safe, comfortable and more efficient environment.
