Variable frequency drive technology used to control and create efficient and energy-saving HVAC-R systems will be on show at this month’s AHR Expo 2022 in Las Vegas. Invertek Drives will be showcasing its Optidrive range of VFDs at stand C1380 at the Las Vegas Convention Center between 31 January and 2 February.
It will highlight the Optidrive E3, Optidrive Eco, Coolvert, and Compact 2, which are used in a range of HVAC-R applications. The Optidrive Eco is used in HVAC building services and pump control using the latest VFD technology developed by Invertek, including its Optiflow multi-pump control system.
Bespoke OEM applications
The drives not only accurately control fan and pump systems, but they can also create significant energy savings of up to 50%. This not only cuts energy costs and emissions but can help reduce wear and tear on motors and pumps and associated downtime and maintenance costs.

Invertek’s high-performance Coolvert VFD has been developed specifically for machine builders to optimize the performance of BLDC compressors used in condensing units (CDUs) and heat pumps. It improves system performance to reduce energy costs and associated emissions. A key focus for the drive is the global retail refrigeration sector. In addition, Invertek’s Compact 2 will also be on show. Designed for bespoke OEM applications, it can be used on all motor types, including IM, PM, BLDC, and SynRM.
Cost-Effective Drives
“It’s great to be returning to AHR Expo which has to be the HVAC-R event of the year for us,” said Wayne Morris, Vice President of Invertek Drives USA.
“We have some of the most innovative, cost-effective, and reliable drives on the market. The HVAC-R is one of our key industries and we know many people attending AHR will keen to see and discuss our range. We’re looking forward to meeting customers old and new.” Representatives of Invertek Drives USA will be on hand to discuss the products, their applications, efficiency, and energy-saving opportunities.
