Terrebonne General Medical Center has added two new tools to help disinfect the hospital amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Clorox Total 360 System
The Clorox Total 360 System and the UVDI-360 Room Sanitizer will add an extra level of protection and prevention against illness-causing germs, including the virus that causes COVID-19, hospital officials said.
The Clorox Total 360 system uses electrostatic technology and can sanitize up to 18,000 square feet per hour, working up to four times faster than traditional cleaning and using 65% less product.
iUVDI-360 Room Sanitizer
The iUVDI-360 Room Sanitizer uses UV-C rays to inactivate germs and bacteria and prevent reproduction, all within a five-minute time frame. Both cleaning measures allow for immediate re-entry of treated rooms and waiting areas.
“A safe environment is a top priority during this unprecedented time,” said Phyllis Peoples, the Houma hospital's president, and CEO. “Incorporating these new procedures into our established cleaning measures gives both patients and employees peace of mind that they are protected to the highest degree.”
