The heating industry trade body, the Heating, and Hotwater Industry Council, HHIC have launched a guide to help consumers understand the many benefits of a gas stove and to showcase the inspiring designs available.

Efficient and economical

Stewart Clements, Director of the Heating and Hotwater Industry Council, HHIC says, “A gas stove provides an efficient and economical method for heating your home, particularly when used as a single source of heat. Providing the look and feel of a log burner without the daily maintenance."

"An alternative to wood burners and perfect for creating an inviting atmosphere through a range of models and finishes.”

Low costs and high efficiency

Gas stoves and fires combine high heat efficiencies with low running costs to deliver affordable warmth

He continued; “Natural gas is still the lowest cost fuel when it comes to supplying a comparable amount of kW usage. Gas is around 3-4 times cheaper than electricity per kWh."

"Today’s gas stoves and fires combine high heat efficiencies with low running costs to deliver affordable warmth as well as adding that focal point for the home.”

Make the right choice

“It is often very difficult to visually tell the difference between a gas stove and a solid fuel one. There is a gas stove to suit old or new properties, on or off-grid, as well as, all tastes and budgets. We want to help consumers make the right choice when creating the very heart of their home.”

‘Gas Stoves- clean, convenient and captivating’ has been developed in conjunction with the country’s pioneering gas fire and stove manufacturers and is available to download on the company’s website.
