Heraeus Noblelight, a specialist for industrial light source solutions, announces its Soluva® UVC (UVGI) air disinfection product line will debut at the 2022 AHR Expo in Las Vegas, NV from January 31 to February 2. In addition to social distancing, hand washing, and mask-wearing safety measures, the UV-C (UVGI) devices make the working environment even safer and help avoid business disruptions due to employee infections.

Facility managers and building owners can retrofit the Soluva devices into ventilation systems and install them in rooms to enhance indoor air quality and provide another layer of protection for occupants. HVAC contractors and service companies can expand their offerings to clients by installing and retrofitting Soluva devices into existing buildings.

Soluva UVGI disinfection devices

Soluva UVGI disinfection devices provide a consistent and reliable way to mitigate the impact of COVID-19"

Jim McMahon, Managing Director for Heraeus Noblelight America, LLC (Gaithersburg, MD) explained, “As we’ve seen the vaccines are not 100% effective and of course, mutations are an ongoing risk. In addition to usual hygiene practices, the Soluva UVGI disinfection devices are an engineering control measure that provides a consistent and reliable way to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 as well as future viruses and seasonal colds and flu."

"The Soluva products first successfully introduced into the European market last year are now becoming available in the North American market. We are excited to show AHR Expo visitors the products as well as the scientific studies verifying their efficacy.”

In-room and in-duct UVC solutions

Visitors to the booth, #C6943, can see up close both in-room and in-duct Soluva products. In-room UVC solutions include wall-mounted and portable devices ideal for rooms without ventilation or that need supplemental ventilation.

The in-duct UVC solution retrofits into return air ventilation ducts to disinfect the air throughout larger buildings reliably. Heraeus Noblelight UVC disinfection experts will be available to answer questions.

New Product & Technology Theater presentation

During the show visitors can hear about UVC (UVGI) solutions by attending a presentation by Heraeus Noblelight’s Environmental Application Engineer, Eric Nelson, titled, “Air Disinfection with UVC(UVGI): In-Room/In-Duct Solutions Fight Infectious Aerosols”.

The presentation is part of the AHR Expo’s New Product & Technology Theater which is free to all attendees and takes place Monday, January 31 at 5:15 pm in Theater C-N249.

Proven and verified UVGI disinfection solution

Soluva devices are disinfecting air in restaurants, schools, medical practices, manufacturing, offices, and many other types of buildings. Soluva UVGI disinfection devices destroy the coronavirus, its mutations, and additional viruses (including cold and flu pathogens) by utilizing UV-C, also called ultraviolet germicidal (UVGI), light.

UV-C light easily inactivates the SARS-CoV-2 virus and its mutations, because they have a very thin lipid (fat) layer which easily allows the light to penetrate and neutralize the virus immediately. The SARS-CoV-2 viruses, their mutations, and additional viruses are destroyed by 99% as verified by testing under real conditions at the renowned Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics among others.
