Heat Transfer Products Group, LLC (HTPG), globally renowned manufacturer of commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment, has announced the temporary closure of its manufacturing plant in Scottsboro, Alabama, in view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic crisis.
Ensuring workers’ safety
HTPG stated that are shutting the plant down to disinfect and the plan is to remain down for the remainder of the week, so as to ensure a safe working environment and ample staff to support customer needs. The company is slated to resume operations on Monday, 20th April, 2020 in Scottsboro. In the meantime, they will continue to take care of the customers’ needs through:
- Their sales team, which is still engaged with other teams to work on quotes, answer their questions, offer training and cater to any other needs.
- Their other distribution centers in Dallas, Texas and Ontario, California, which will continue to operate as normal.
- Their Customer Service and Application Engineering teams, which are not impacted and will be available as usual.
- Much of the company’s workforce, which is working remotely and will not be impacted by this short plant reset.
HTPG also said that they have a great team that is doing an excellent job in remaining flexible and doing the right things to keep effectively serving the customers while keeping employees safe in these challenging times.
