With its reputation as one of the HVAC industry’s easiest units to sell, install and service, the Goodman AVPTC Smartframe Air Handler supplies consistent airflow over a range of static pressure conditions. The Smartframe chassis is designed for stability and lateral strength, yet the air handler is only 21 inches deep for easier attic access.

Smartframe substructure provides a sturdy mounting framework for internal components, while securing the foil-faced insulation covering the entire blower casing to help reduce both cabinet condensation and noise. With the ability to customize 12 field-selectable airflow settings to optimize CFM, Goodman’s AVPTC employs an energy-efficient, variable speed motor to evenly distribute air from room-to-room.

Field-installed electric heat from 3-25 kW for emergency heating, if ever needed, is available

The air handled provides auto configuration of the airflow and tonnage in communicating mode, fault recall of the six most recent incidents and adjustable low CFM for efficient fan-only operation. An all-aluminum evaporator coil (constructed from aluminum fins, tubing and end plates) delivers efficient heat transfer properties, durable performance and corrosion resistance to rust.

For ease of service, ComfortNet Communications System compatibility provides auto-configuration of airflow and tonnage. Tool-less filter access is provided. The AVPTC air handler allows both down flow and horizontal flow installations. Internal factory-installed thermal expansion valves for cooling and heat pump applications are included. Field-installed electric heat from 3-25 kW for emergency heating, if ever needed, is available.

energy-efficient indoor comfort solutions

Available in 1.5- to 5-ton models, the Goodman AVPTC air handler offers built-in compatibility with multistage heat pump and cooling applications. A 10-Year Parts Limited Warranty covers the coil and all functional parts. Goodman brand heating and cooling systems are designed to provide refreshingly affordable and energy-efficient indoor comfort solutions using advanced technology.

But the company ultimately adheres to some old-fashioned values, too. Goodman believes in the integrity of the American worker. That’s why Goodman brand heating and cooling systems are designed, engineered and assembled in the United States.
