"The German heating industry provides the technical solutions to implement the ambitious climate protection goals of Paris," said Uwe Glock, President of the Federal Association of the German Heating Industry, BDH. This will become clear again at ISH Energy 2019. In order to meet the CO2 targets for 2030, the BDH President calls for a close alliance between politics and business, because: "If the pace of modernization in buildings has been stagnating for years, the Paris climate protection targets will be a long way off," Glock continued.
The ISH 2019 is all about the development of the energy system of the future. The heating industry presents innovative systems that integrate heating technology with photovoltaic systems and e-mobility as well as battery storage in intelligent energy networks. "This digital networking via a Home Energy Management System helps relieve the previously central power supply and makes load management in the future energy system easier," explains Glock.
In addition, “green gases” and “green fuels” are important components of the energy transition, says Glock and continues: “Renewable energies are not only gaining importance in the electricity mix, but also in the gas network and liquid fuels. Technologies and energies thus form a system to decarbonize the heating market."
Event Summary
- Thorsten Herdan, Head of Energy Policy at the Federal Ministry of Economics, also rejects an all-electric strategy: “In particular, the largest energy consumption sector in Europe and Germany, the heating market, needs a strategy consisting of efficiency first and a diversified energy supply that does not only renewable electricity but also “green gases” and “green fuels” play a central role.
- Peter Altmaier, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy was happy to take over the patronage of the ISH technology and energy forum organized by BDH and Messe Frankfurt. Because the forum is an example of how a combination of innovative technology with an increasingly renewable energy mix for the heating market can achieve CO2- Enables reduction targets.
- Iris Jeglitza-Moshage, Member of the Management Board of Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH: “ISH Energie 2019 shows the high level of innovation in the heating industry to a global audience. Efficiency, renewable energies, and digital networking are the focus of this international performance show."
- Jeglitza-Moshage expressed her joy that France, as a partner country at ISH 2019, is setting important accents for the cooperation between the two countries, including in the energy sector.
