ECM Technologies, the pioneer in HVAC efficiency and energy conservation, announces it has been named a finalist in the Arizona Forward Environmental Excellence awards for its signature product, ThermaClear™, an advanced nanotechnology HVAC treatment that helps decarbonize commercial buildings to accelerate a more sustainable future.
The Environmental Excellence awards program, presented by SRP, is Arizona’s most prestigious recognition related to statewide projects that impact quality of life and sustainability.
Extended equipment life
ECM Technologies’ ThermaClear treatment was selected from nearly 65 nominations as a innovation by a judging panel made up of leaders and experts in the community. Specially designed to help commercial facilities reduce their carbon emissions and energy consumption, by up to 20% annually, ThermaClear also lowers the amount of power required to run HVAC equipment which translates to less maintenance issues and extended equipment life.
ThermaClear also lowers the amount of power required to run HVAC equipment
The City of Phoenix Public Works department has implemented ThermaClear for up to 12 million square feet of conditioned space after running numerous, highly successful, long-term pilot programs over the past four years in the Valley.
With a 10% average energy reduction after ThermaClear™ treatment, the City of Phoenix will save more than 9,000,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year. This equates to energy cost savings of over $1 million per year.
Extensive pilot programs
"We are honored to be recognized as a finalist for the Arizona Forward Environmental Excellence awards," said Michael Daly, PE, Chief Technology Officer of ECM Technologies.
He adds, "Our team has spent years conducting extensive pilot programs and case studies across the country, the latest being our partnership with the City of Phoenix, to prove the effectiveness of ThermaClear and its ability to help companies become more sustainable. Being named a finalist for this prestigious award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the City of Phoenix and our team."
Award recipients will be announced at the Environmental Excellence awards gala at the JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort and Spa on Saturday, April 29. More than 500 esteemed people throughout the state attend the event each year. The gala is open to the public, but tickets must be purchased.
