Solutions to meet customer needs for decarbonization and energy efficiency were focus of three-day event. At the AHR Expo, held February 10-12 in Orlando, FL, Danfoss showed its broad portfolio of technologies for addressing key industry trends, such as decarbonization, refrigerant transition, and AI/connectivity.
At the Danfoss booth, current and potential customers explored the company’s solutions that enable customers to build heat pumps, data centers, rooftop units, Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems (DOAS), chillers, and refrigeration systems that reduce carbon emissions and energy consumption.
Transition to new refrigerants
Danfoss’ theme, “Transition Forward,” emphasized how Danfoss solutions, such as oil-free and magnetic-bearing Turbocor compressors, variable-speed drives, brazed-plate heat exchangers and economizers, are helping customers build more sustainable HVAC/R systems, transition to new refrigerants and utilize connectivity solutions to optimize their building operations and energy usage.
Visitors to the Danfoss booth were also able to see demonstrations of Alsense and Alsmart HVAC/R automation solutions, the VLT® HVAC FC 102 Drive NEMA 4X, condition-based monitoring (CBM), TurbocorCloud® software, and more.

Among the products on display was the BOCK HGX56 CO2 T compressor, winner of the 2025 AHR Expo Innovation Award in the Refrigeration category.
The BOCK product team, along with Danfoss Climate Solutions leadership, formally received the award at the Innovation Awards ceremony held on Monday, February 10.
Decarbonization and electrification in heating and cooling
On the morning of Wednesday, February 12, Vikas Anand, vice president of sales for North America at Danfoss Climate Solutions, participated on a panel with industry executives on “Understanding Business Opportunities Based on Your Region.”
He noted that cold-climate heat pumps are an emerging opportunity in North America, as the push toward decarbonization and electrification in heating and cooling continues to build. With the first phase of the Department of Energy’s Cold Climate Heat Pump Challenge complete, original equipment manufacturers (OEM) will now be working to develop heat pumps that can be effective in colder climates.

AHR Expo also marked the start of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Danfoss Turbocor
Danfoss is working with its OEM customers to test and develop compressors, variable-speed drives and other scalable technologies to support the transition to electric heating in northern regions.

Founded in 1995 in Australia by a group of engineers and later acquired by Danfoss as a wholly owned company, the pioneer in oil-free compressor technology has grown to 350 employees with operation centers in the U.S., Denmark, and China.
Carbon emissions and energy consumption
Over 140,000 Turbocor compressors have been installed globally as more customers seek to lower their carbon emissions and energy consumption.
