Daikin Comfort Technologies North America, Inc. (Daikin), a global pioneer in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) manufacturing, has advanced to the final stage of the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Residential Cold Climate Heat Pump Technology Challenge.

This milestone follows the successful completion of multiple field tests, underscoring Daikin's commitment to product innovation in energy-efficient electric heating solutions.

DOE's Residential Cold Climate Heat Pump Challenge aims to foster collaboration among manufacturers, utilities

Launched in 2021, the DOE's Residential Cold Climate Heat Pump Challenge aims to foster collaboration among manufacturers, utilities, and other stakeholders to develop next-generation heat pump technology capable of delivering reliable and energy-efficient heating in extreme winter conditions.

The goal of this challenge aligns with Daikin’s commitment to providing high-performance low Global Warming Potential (GWP) R-32 inverter heat pump solutions to every climate one in the U.S. and Canada.
