Cylon, a pioneer in smart buildings and energy efficiency technology, launches new products, updates and innovative solutions for the Building Management Systems industry. These products and solutions will help to drive efficiency and productivity for System Integrators, Real Estate Developers, Building Owners, Facilities Managers, and Building Occupants.

Minimal Engineering Effort

The new Q3 products, updates, and solutions announced include:

The software is designed to integrate a variety of interfaces and protocols into unified distributed systemsASPECT® 3.02 product updates include improved usability and utility. The software is designed to integrate a variety of interfaces and protocols into unified distributed systems. Product enhancements have new HTML5 user interfaces, combine real-time integrated control, supervision, data logging, alarming, scheduling and network management functions. This powerful tool provides data and arms users with the ability to rapidly react to any situation that may adversely affect energy costs, business performance, and ultimately, financials.

CXproHD Engineering Software is a powerful suite of software applications that allows all features of Cylon’s CB Line of BACnet® controllers to be designed, engineered, programmed, configured, tested, commissioned and maintained with minimal engineering effort. CXproHD puts developers in control of delivering energy efficient systems. The Suite’s graphical programming makes it easy to create custom sequences visually assembling building blocks together as necessary.

Reduce Programming Time

The library includes numerous predefined logic sequences split into many categories including HVAC, Comparators, Logic, AHU Systems, Time, Custom, and Inputs & Outputs, among others to simplify and reduce programming time. It also has improved navigation and page naming and gives developers the ability to maneuver around a large strategy with ease.

Existing CBX-8R8 controllers can be upgraded to support Modbus® by updating to the latest controller firmware

The CBX-8R8 and CBX-8R8-H are fully programmable BTL-listed BACnet® Advanced Application Controllers (B-AAC) that communicate on an RS-485 local area network using the BACnet® MS/TP and feature support for Modbus® RTU devices. Modbus® allows integration of devices into control strategy such as motor drives, meters, and other sensors. Existing CBX-8R8 controllers can be upgraded to support Modbus® by updating to the latest controller firmware. Each feature rich controller includes 8 UniPuts™ with Relays and 8 Universal Inputs.

Efficient Post-Installation Checks

FLX-4R4 and FLX-4R4-H have 4 UniPuts™ with Relay, and 4 Universal Inputs. The -H version of the eXpansion module is available with the popular Hand/Off/Auto Local Override function. The new FLX-16DI offers 16 Digital outputs. The expansion modules offer quick & easy installation with modular hardware design, reduced time on site, efficient post-installation checks and testing and flexibility to expand.

Modules can be tailored to meet a variety of applications by creating and modifying strategies using new CXproHD Engineering Software. CBV-2U4-3T & CBV-2U4-3T-N are two new BACnet® VAV CBV Series Controllers for direct digital control of single duct and fan assisted Variable Air Volume applications.

The CBV-2U4-3T and CBV-2U4-3T-N are BTL Listed BACnet® Advanced Application Controllers with 2 UniPutsTM, 4 Universal Inputs and 3 Triac Digital Outputs, an integrated airflow sensor, and actuator. The -N variant has a facility for connection to an external actuator. With the CBV-2U4-3T and CBV-2U4-3T-N controllers, you can add a demand ventilation application, and occupancy sensors or lighting control to further enhance energy savings.
