Staff and visitors to Crawley Borough Council's new Civic Centre will benefit from outstanding indoor comfort with a new high-efficiency CIAT air conditioning and ventilation system installed.
Three modular ClimaCIAT Air Handling Units (AHUs), equipped with high-grade filters to help support indoor air quality (IAQ), will maintain year-round climate conditions for the nine-story development, including a 41,000 square foot town hall, with a double-height reception area and 77,000 square feet of commercial office space.
ClimaCIAT Air Handling Units (AHUs)
The ClimaCIAT Air Handling Units are equipped with an advanced intelligent electronic control system
CIAT is part of Carrier Global Corporation, the global provider of healthy, safe, sustainable and intelligent building and cold chain solutions. CIAT’s innovative ClimaCIAT AHUs are all Eurovent certified, meeting the latest efficiency and performance requirements under Ecodesign Directive regulations.
The ClimaCIAT Air Handling Units are equipped with an advanced intelligent electronic control system, enabling them to be connected to building management systems (BMS), in order to optimize performance and efficiency, as part of a total building support system.
Control system is fully integrated into each unit
This includes fine control of temperature and humidity levels, and the management of fans, filter fouling levels and heat exchange coils.
The control system is fully integrated into each unit, including wiring and sensors, and can be easily selected and configured using the dedicated software and tools.
Complete ventilation solution for all buildings
Matthew Hopwood, Airside Sales Manager at CIAT, said “ClimaCIAT AHUs provide a complete ventilation solution for all buildings, whether in the public or private sector.”
He adds, “In addition to providing excellent comfort levels and reliability, their efficiency ensures reduced carbon emissions and lower running costs throughout the lifetime of equipment. On both environmental and economic grounds, they deliver a win-win.”
