CoolAutomation, a pioneer in connected HVAC solutions, will be exhibiting at the AHR Expo 2022. The company will be presenting its new portfolio of cutting-edge HVAC cloud solutions - The CoolAutomation Cloud.

The CoolAutomation Cloud is composed of several solutions, each providing specific capabilities to meet the various needs of HVAC professionals:

  • HVAC Remote Diagnostics & HVAC Predictive Maintenance
  • VRF Power Distribution
  • HVAC Operations solutions
  • HVAC Control

Monitoring HVAC installations

The HVAC Remote Diagnostics solution allows HVAC professionals to remotely monitor HVAC installations, perform initial diagnostics of HVAC faults, and save on travel time to the customer’s sites. With this solution, HVAC professionals can quickly and remotely diagnose and control any HVAC system, access and monitor the system’s performance, receive error alerts, and analyze the system data in real-time by using an intuitive graphical interface.

The HVAC Predictive Maintenance solution offers an extensive set of features

The HVAC Predictive Maintenance solution offers an extensive set of features, allowing HVAC professionals to remotely and automatically monitor the HVAC system’s health, optimize the HVAC performance, and reduce system downtime events - by detecting anomalies in the system’s performance and operation, handling them early before they deteriorate into major hardware faults or before they cause inefficient energy consumption.

Local energy regulations

These capabilities also allow compliance to national or local energy regulations that mandate periodic checkups of system performance for energy savings. According to Josh Morgan, Service Manager at CoolTimes Industries, "From a service manager's position, having the ability to remotely monitor and diagnose an HVAC system is a real benefit for our company and our clients.”

It saves time and money, and best of all - ensures minimal downtime, compared to traditional diagnostic methods. The GUI is fantastic, making for easy diagnostics and having the ability to sort data accordingly." The VRF Power Distribution solution allows Building Managers and Operators to accurately bill their tenants by the actual operational demand and power consumption of each indoor unit, and optimize the units’ energy efficiency.

Using sophisticated algorithms

The HVAC Operations solutions allow Building Managers to control their building’s HVAC system

This is done by automatically distributing the total consumption of the VRF system’s condensing units to the actual consumption of each of the indoor units using sophisticated algorithms that analyze the actual operational parameters of the indoor units.

The HVAC Operations solutions allow Building Managers and Operators to fully control their building’s HVAC system usage, set schedules, restrict usage at specific hours, days, or seasons of the year and detect usage anomalies - in order to improve operations, save energy and optimize the HVAC operation to meet their building and tenants’ profiles. The CoolAutomation Cloud is a Multi-Brand & Multi-Site, universal platform, that can be connected to any VRF HVAC system of any of the manufacturers, regardless of the brand or model - and monitor them from a remote, single interface.

Building automation industries

Ben Shipley, VP of North America Sales, says: “Connecting an HVAC system to the CoolAutomation Cloud can dramatically enhance HVAC professionals' capabilities, increase the productivity of VRF Engineers, save energy, and optimize consumption, and allow HVAC stakeholders to provide the most professional and sophisticated service to their customers.”

Yaron Benvenisti, CoolAutomation’s CEO, concludes: “As an industry leader of HVAC Cloud Solutions technologies, we are delighted to unveil these exciting new solutions. This revolutionary platform is the next evolution of IoT - it is built to provide solutions for any professional within the HVAC service, management, or home and building automation industries.” CoolAutomation has been named the 2022 winner of the ‘Smart Heating and Cooling Product of the Year’ Award in the 6th annual IoT Breakthrough Awards program, conducted by IoT Breakthrough; and is a Finalist in the Software Category of the AHR Expo 2022 Innovation Awards.
