Kits are composed by the regulation for the air handling unit, or also by the electrical panel tailor-made for the AHU to manage. Together with the regulation, CLIMASET s.r.l. provides probes to measure temperature, humidity, pressure, and air quality, but also protection devices such as differential pressure and flow switches.
To complete the range they provide inverters, but also evaporative cooling systems and advanced adiabatic or isothermal humidifiers.
Regulation for AHUs
At the heart of the system lays a pCO5+ controller with the application designed for air handling units: the regulation is completely configurable, according to AHU features and the performance desired.
Below are listed the main features of the control software:
- supports various models of supply and return air fans, both ON/OFF and modulating ones;
- external, mixture, and expulsion dampers control;
- cooling and heating control using PID algorithms with battery management;
- free cooling and free heating control in temperature and enthalpy;
- heat recovery management;
- cascade control of the different devices;
- humidity regulation with dehumidification and isothermal and adiabatic humidification;
- alarm management with historical;
- management of up to four-time slots per day (management of days of the week and special days);
- four generic control loops for auxiliary functions;
- connectable to supervisory systems;
The program is customizable thanks to the 1tool development environment: for example, it is possible to perfect the regulation, introduce new working logic, or integrate different systems. The regulation can be interfaced with CAREL or a third-party supervision system, with the Modbus protocol.
user interface: 7-inches pGDX
The 7-inch pGDX touchscreen terminal offers the air handling unit an easy and simple user interface.
The pGD7 graphics AHUs adapt depending on the configuration and the devices in use by the air handling unit, thanks to a double level of visualization:
- main page with the main system data (T/H supply, return, etc.)
- more specific pages with device status (fans, batteries, etc.).
Other important functions of air handling units pGDX are:
- list of active alarms with the possibility of resetting them,
- a detailed synoptic with device status,
- the possibility of turning ON/OFF the AHU from the pGDX, by selecting the desired working mode
- the possibility of setting temperature and humidity setpoints, but also working time bands.
Status of the air handling unit
The 7-inch pGDX is also equipped with a handy lateral LED bar that lights up depending on the status of the air handling unit: in case of an alarm, for example, the user is notified with a blinking red.
With the pGDX they do not need a semigraphic terminal, simply open the terminal emulator of the “Service” branch in order to see the various masks of the pCO5+ controller.
