Some of the coolest additions to Auburn University’s Jordan-Hare Stadium this year come courtesy of Carrier local dealers in Alabama, with five comfort stations now located throughout the stadium for each home football game. Carrier is a part of Carrier Global Corporation, a pioneer in intelligent climate and energy solutions.

Carrier worked with its regional distributor Mingledorff’s and local HVAC contractor Jackson Services to provide comfort stations at Auburn Tiger home games. Each comfort station features a 40MAHB Performance™ high wall indoor unit paired with a 38MARB Performance heat pump, with the equipment wrapped in colorful graphics showcasing the Jackson Services and Carrier logos alongside Auburn’s blue and orange color scheme.

Introduction of comfort stations

Other upgrades included improvements in food service, Wi-Fi, and game presentation

Auburn announced the comfort stations, which will cool or heat fans depending on the weather, along with more than 20 other gameday enhancements, ahead of this season. Other upgrades included improvements in food service, Wi-Fi, and game presentation.

We are thrilled to announce our collaboration with Carrier, Mingledorff’s and Jackson Services, which will redefine the fan experience at Auburn University,” said Rhett Hobart, Auburn’s Deputy Athletics Director for External Affairs.

Rhett Hobart adds, “With the introduction of comfort stations at all our sports events this year, we are not just raising the bar for comfort and convenience; we’re setting a new standard for providing a welcoming environment for families with special needs.”

Smaller comfort stations

Jackson Services, the official HVAC and plumbing company of Auburn Athletics, spearheaded the cooling stations and a larger cooling tent specifically for families of individuals with special needs.

The larger tent, part of Jackson Services’ Special Needs Assistance Station, or SNASY, program, is located outside the stadium on the corner of War Eagle Way and South Donahue Drive, while the smaller comfort stations are located inside Jordan Hare Stadium, co-located with first aid stations.

Ductless systems

Jackson Services came to us, and Carrier and Mingledorff’s were quick to support this worthwhile cause,” said Mike Harrison, Vice President and Southwest District General Manager for Mingledorff’s, adding “Like Jackson Services, we’re a family-owned business. And we have tried to help others in the community for years. It seemed like a logical thing to grab a hold of.”

The 40MAHB and 38MARB are designed to work in tandem to provide a balance between budget limits and a desire for energy savings. The ductless systems have been fitted onto carts to simplify their gameday deployment.
