The BDH General Assembly has elected Uwe Glock as the new President at the GET Nord SHK trade fair. The chairman of the board of management of Bosch Thermotechnik GmbH follows Manfred Greis, who held the office of president for six years. The general assembly elected Dr. Norbert Schiedeck, Chairman of the Vaillant Group Management.
Glock emphasized that the association's work will continue to be characterized by continuity in all key areas. The central tasks of the association would continue to be to represent the interests of the members vis-à-vis politics and the public and to work towards accelerating the energetic renovation of the building stock.
Solution-Oriented communication
The HVAC trade and industry are working constructively on the success and the future of ISH"
At the same time, Glock thanked the outgoing President: "Strategic thinking, credibility, and assertiveness as well as solution-oriented communication both internally and externally shaped the presidency of Manfred Greis."
The successful anchoring of the BDH in the sponsorship of the international trade fair ISH also fell during his presidency. "Within this extended sponsorship, Messe Frankfurt, the HVAC trade and industry are working constructively on the success and the future of ISH," said Greis. Inwardly it also succeeded.
Progressive climate protection
Greis, in turn, called for a return to progressive climate protection in the building sector: "The energetic renovation of the building stock has stagnated for years. If the modernization backlog is not resolved now, the climate protection targets of the federal government for 2030 will remain unattainable." He referred to the ambitious climate policy goal of reducing carbon dioxide emissions in buildings from 119 million tons today to 72 million tons in 2030.
Greis: "The technology required for this is available on the market. The German heating industry offers all the solutions to achieve this goal.” As part of the elections, Thomas Heim, Chief Sales Officer at Viessmann, Christian Kruse, Senior Vice President Mature Markets at WILO, and Bertrand Schmitt, CEO of the BDR Thermea Group, were appointed to the BDH Board of Directors.
