Baxi Heating is delighted to announce that it will be reopening its popular Warwick Commercial Training Academy this September after its enforced closure due to COVID-19.

The commercial training facility was established over two years ago, guided by in-depth research into attitudes and expectations regarding training, to ensure that heating engineers have the opportunity to refine their skills and gain practical experience in a real-world environment.

Free in-person single-day courses

From September, we will again offer free in-person single-day courses on Andrews Water Heaters and Potterton Commercial products, in the very safest of conditions. Before reopening, full and detailed risk assessments have been carried out at the Commercial Training Academy.

For safety purposes, spaces on each in-person course will now be limited to a maximum of three people. Additional COVID-19 measures have been put in place including compulsory health check forms for each attendee and obligatory wearing of the face masks that will be provided on arrival.

Care has been taken to implement best practice physical distancing and navigational signage throughout the building as well as to provide hand sanitizers and anti-bacterial wipes to encourage a hygienic environment. Each attendee will receive a complimentary mug on arrival and drinks throughout the day.

Providing maximum learning

Commenting on the reopening, Commercial Training Manager Mark Lovegrove said, “We’re delighted to be able to provide a safe welcome to those attending our Training Academy and a return to in-person product training."

The full-day format is designed to provide maximum learning in the minimum time. It enables us to provide contractors with hands-on sessions that cover practical tips about installation, commissioning, and maintenance of key product ranges. We also offer bespoke training for distributors focusing on identifying the best appliance for their customers’ requirements.”

Online product training sessions

Lasting between 90 minutes to two hours, online courses continue to remain in high demand"

Baxi Heating will continue to offer the free online product training sessions for a maximum of eight people per course. Mark continued, “These shorter, specially-designed online courses have proved highly popular during the lockdown. Lasting between 90 minutes to two hours, they continue to remain in high demand now with those unable to take part in a one-day training course."

"We see real value in offering both formats to accommodate all learning styles and requirements. Both courses will build confidence in working with our products – which will not only benefit those attending but will result in a better service for the end-user.”

Courses included online

Our free courses include training on the Andrews Water Heaters ECOflo, MAXXflo, and MAXXflo EVO product ranges and the Potterton Commercial Sirius three wall hung and floor standing, Eurocondense, and Paramount boiler series.

James Blanksby, Director at GESTI Ltd, commercial gas, plumbing, and electrical specialists, added his endorsement, “Mark is a fantastic tutor and engineer. I highly recommend these courses that provide the relevant training but also handy tips and tricks from a knowledgeable hands-on tutor.” All product training courses, in-person and online, can now be booked using the online booking system.
