Following the arrival of the UK Government’s £5 million Heat Pump Training Grant, Baxi has launched its own installer incentive scheme, pairing the Government vouchers with valuable Baxi Works points.

The Heat Training Grant supports trainees in England taking short training courses relevant to heat pumps and heat networks with grants of up to £500 towards eligible courses, such as those offered by Baxi.

Baxi’s installer incentive scheme

Baxi will also support trainees with additional free CPD (Continuing Professional Development)

Baxi, an official partner to the Government scheme, has announced its offer of 15,000 Baxi Works loyalty points to installers receiving the Heat Training Grant.

Baxi will also support trainees with additional free CPD (Continuing Professional Development) and free supervised commissioning of their first heat pump installation for a limited period.

Candidates need to take Heat Pump Training Course

To be eligible, installers will need to complete an accredited Heat Pump Training Course with Baxi at the company’s Warwick, Dartford or Warrington training centers, and register a Baxi Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) via Baxi Works.

The points will then be credited to their account to spend on a range of items from the Baxi Works Reward Catalogue.

Demand for heat pumps rising

Baxi is part of BDR Thermea Group, which has been active in heat pumps since the mid-1980s, is expecting to manufacture and sell 600,000 heat pumps across Europe in 2025.

Harriet Evans, the Renewables Director at Baxi, said: “With the Government scheme now launched, our points offer is also live and installers can start to benefit from this great skills initiative. Heat pump demand can only grow, so this is an ideal time for installers to get fully trained and accredited for heat pumps and secure future income from the transition to clean heat in homes.

Baxi offers full air source heat pump support package

Baxi offers a full air source heat pump support package to familiarize installers with heat pump technology

As part of its support for low-carbon heat, Baxi has put together a full air source heat pump support package to familiarize installers with heat pump technology and its own air source heat pump range.

The company offers support at every step of the journey, from the Heat Training Grant-eligible training courses to a complete packaged solution of heat pumps, cylinders and control systems, enhanced warranty options, nationwide commissioning and aftersales support.

Heat pumps to play a key role in heat decarbonization

Harriet Evans stated: “The Government has an ambitious target for heat pumps to play a major role in heat decarbonization. As responsible heating experts, we are committed to giving installers all the support they need to make sure their installs deliver optimum performance, efficiency and energy savings for their customers.

She adds, “Creating the opportunity to receive 15,000 valuable Baxi Works points is our latest way of giving installers support to get comfortable with heat pumps and be part of the clean heat revolution.
