Manufactured by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Systems (MTH), the award winning Hyozan CO2 condensing unit provides the ideal refrigeration and freezer solutions in supermarkets and cold storage warehouses. Hyozan combines reliable performance with a low noise level, convenient and easy installation, and scalable connectivity.

Hyozan CO2 condensing unit has an innovative “oil pod” mounted on the compressor. This “oil pod” is equipped with an oil level switch that maintains optimal oil level. This ensures compressor reliability and reduces refrigeration unit failures. It also reduces the risk of managing and disposing of cooling objects when repairing refrigeration equipment, which is the most important issue for retailers.

Multiple compression chambers

The Hyozan unit boasts the world’s first inverter two-stage ‘scroll and rotary’ compressor.

The Hyozan unit boasts the world’s first inverter two-stage ‘scroll and rotary’ compressor

This innovative compressor delivers high-efficiency operation across all conditions: the scroll system is highly efficient under high-load operations due to its multiple compression chambers that reduce differential pressure, while the rotary system’s simple structure ensures efficient performance under low-load conditions. Additionally, by utilising the natural refrigerant CO2 (R-744), Hyozan offers an environmentally friendly operation that aligns with modern sustainability goals.

Commercial refrigeration market

Designed with installation flexibility in mind, the Hyozan unit is available in 10HP and 20HP models, with scalable connectivity options that allow for the creation of larger systems as needed. The series features a sophisticated control design that meets the European Eco-design Directive, with gas injection control to further enhance efficiency.

Its compact design and flexible piping options, including refrigerant pipe runs of up to 100 meters, make Hyozan units easy to install and maintain. With a focus on long-term reliability, the Hyozan CO2 condensing unit is a testament to MTH’s commitment to delivering advanced, eco-friendly, and dependable solutions for the commercial refrigeration market.
