Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International Inc. announces the launch of a microsite dedicated to educating the buildings industry about fan energy index (FEI) and supporting use of the metric in efforts to save energy, reduce operating costs, and accelerate decarbonization.

Fan-Efficiency Codes

Developed by AMCA and member companies to support fan-efficiency codes, standards, regulations, and rebate programs, FEI is a wire-to-air, design-point metric emphasizing compliant fan selections based on operating points.

It can be used by application and design engineers in sizing and selecting fan systems for commercial and industrial applications. The microsite contains deep links to applicable standards, peer reviewed technical papers and presentations, regulatory dockets, and online training modules.
