The Air Movement and Control Association International (AMCA) is a not-for-profit international association of the world’s manufacturers of fans, louvers, dampers, air curtains, airflow measurement devices, ducts, acoustic attenuators, and other air system components.

Using the Certified Ratings Program, AMCA tests products for energy efficiency, sound, and overall performance. PLASTEC Ventilation has been an AMCA member since 2015. 

AMCA certification

PLASTEC Ventilation is AMCA certified for Sound & Air since 2021. PLASTEC Ventilation certifies that the PLASTEC Series shown herein is licensed to bear the AMCA Seal.

The ratings shown are based on tests and procedures performed in accordance with AMCA Publication 211 and AMCA Publication 311 and comply with the requirements of the AMCA Certified Ratings Program.

Test performance procedures

Maximum fan input power over the range cataloged, or fan input power at the stated duty

Performance certification is for installation type D – Ducted inlet, Ducted outlet. Performance ratings do not include the effects of appurtenances (accessories).

Maximum fan input power over the range catalogued, or fan input power at the stated duty, or maximum motor input watts, voltage and frequency over the range cataloged, or motor input watts, voltage, and frequency at the state duty. – Rating Methods D.

sound power level ratings

The sound power level ratings shown are in decibels, referred to 10-12 watts, calculated per AMCA standard 301. Values shown are for inlet Lwi and LwiA sound power levels for installation Type D: Ducted inlet, Ducted outlet. Ratings include the effects of duct end correction.

The A-weighted sound ratings shown have been calculated per AMCA International Standard 301. Sound pressure levels are not licensed by AMCA International.

Test performance procedures for JET Series

PLASTEC Ventilation certifies that the JET Series shown herein is licensed to bear the AMCA Seal. The ratings shown are based on tests and procedures performed in accordance with AMCA Publication 211 and AMCA Publication 311 and comply with the requirements of the AMCA Certified Ratings Program.

Installation type A

Performance certification is for installation type A – Free inlet, Free outlet. Performance ratings do not include the effects of appurtenances (accessories).
