Air Movement & Control Association International, Inc. has announced hiring a new Education Manager. Lisa Cherney has joined the Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International staff in the new role of education manager. Reporting to Director of Education, Marketing, and Communications Robb Clawson, she is responsible for ensuring the successful creation, implementation, and operation of AMCA educational offerings. 

New AMCA International hire

Cherney will work closely with AMCA’s membership, marketing, communications, advocacy, meetings, and Certified Ratings Program teams, as well as the board of directors, conference speakers, and online-education providers, spearheading the development of internal and external programs.

Cherney has an extensive background in the corporate meeting, event, and travel-planning industry, including the design of educational programs for a variety of audiences and age groups. She has done project management for companies such as Crain’s Chicago Business, Allstate Insurance, and the American Society of Anesthesiologists.

Lisa’s personality, attention to detail, and inquisitive nature make her a tremendous addition to the AMCA staff and will ensure that the association’s education efforts are on point and successful for years to come,” Clawson said.

Cherney holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational and interpersonal communications from Loyola University Chicago and has participated in many professional development programs.
