Adcock was approached by Stancold to provide a refrigeration solution for the MoD Abbey Wood - Ministry of Defence establishment in Bristol.

Supplying & Installing Refrigeration Systems

Adcock’s vast experience and wide expertise in refrigeration systems along with the competitive quote resulted in winning this contract.

The project entailed supplying and installing temperature-controlled refrigeration systems to 3 chilled cold rooms and 2 freezer cold rooms within the catering building.

Each cold room was installed with two independent refrigeration systems to provide 100% back up with an auto change-over facility in case of a system failure.

Challenges

Although normally a relatively straight forward project for highly experienced engineers, it was particularly challenging due to the requirement to complete all the work during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in April 2020.

Adcock follows the Government, PHE, and WHO guidelines and exceeds the requirements of the advice, all employees follow strict rules to sustain a healthy and safe workplace in this unique environment.
