The primary purpose of HEI is to develop and publish standards which advance the technology, increase the efficiency, and promote the use of heat exchange and vacuum apparatus.

National Comfort Institute, Inc. (NCI) is an organization that provides heating, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical contractors with a focused offering of services and tools to help them improve their businesses, differentiate themselves, grow, and become more profitable. NCI accomplishes this through membership groups and by providing unique business management, sales, marketing and technical tools, training, support and coaching.

Wauseon Machine, Inc. (WM) started as a small contract machine shop in 1983. Currently, they offer those same services in Plant 1, where it specializes in build-to-print tooling, prototypes, and precision machining.
