Triatek by Johnson Controls will be exhibiting at the 2019 International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories Annual Conference. Below are some of the highlights that the company will be showcasing at the conference.
Performance Contracting and Laboratories: O my- It’s O&M: Wednesday, October 23 2019
Triatek by Johnson Controls is sponsoring a session entitled O my- It’s O&M, and it will feature a panel discussion on how the University of Illinois at Chicago utilized performance contracting to update their aging infrastructure without upfront capital investments. The company’s own FlowSafe Stable Vortex II Fume Hoods were a huge component (over 350 fume hoods were retrofitted) of the renovation and continue to play a major role in the overall reduction of campus energy consumption.
overall reduction of energy consumption
Learning objectives will also include how to schedule work and system shutdowns in an active research building.
- FlowSafe Product Feature
Triatek will showcase the FlowSafe Stable Vortex II Fume Hood, a patented high performance low flow fume hood that was designed for a premiere level of safety for the user. The display will feature the new VMS-1655 Fume Hood Monitor with touchscreen display and Safety Halo edge lighting. Users who aren’t attending the conference but would like to sign up for the upcoming FlowSafe webinar can register for the same on their official website.
- Metasys Laboratory Demo
A great building automation system (BAS) can transform the user’s facility’s efficiency and occupant comfort. Triatek products are protocol-independent, but they can also offer several BAS options, and Metasys is one of them.
New Products
- FMS-2000 Critical Environment Controller
The FMS-2000 Critical Environment Controller is the next generation of the company’s touchscreen controllers It features a larger screen, a more intuitive user experience, and a modern look and feel. The FMS-2000 ensures laboratories are safe for occupants. The controller continuously monitors and controls room pressure by verifying pressure and airflow.
- EcoAir Valve
The EcoAir Valve is an alternative to the traditional Venturi air valve. It is an ultra-low pressure drop valve designed with airflow sensing technology and debris-proof technology. This valve provides safety, reliability, and energy efficiency for critical environment HVAC design. The EcoAir Valve can be used in tandem with Venturi Valves in critical environments.
The valve uses the EcoAir Valve Module (EVM) to enable compatibility with all controllers independent of their protocol. The unique blade design results in high turn-down ratios with more resolute control at the near closed position. The design also protects sensors from getting blocked and does not require an access port to clean the valve. The valve provides accurate airflow measurement from the specified ± 5%.
Intelligent Laboratories
Johnson Controls Intelligent LabIntelligent Laboratories is a new software solution that gathers real-time data from sources like environmental monitors, asset trackers, badges, and occupancy sensors to analyze temperature, equipment utilization, energy usage and assets, and people movement to identify problem areas and methods to fix them. This IoT solution optimizes laboratories so scientists have what they need to work productively and comfortably.
