Eurovent has released its new Recommendation 6/18 on quality criteria for Air Handling Units (AHUs). The document, prepared by the Eurovent Product Group ‘Air Handling Units’, provides information on various issues pertaining to requirements for AHUs.
The purpose of the Recommendation 6/18 is to provide a comprehensive overview of features that determine highly efficient operation and correct service of AHUs, which are a measure of the AHU quality.

Eurovent’s new Recommendation 6/18 on quality criteria for Air Handling Units (AHUs) addresses a wide range of aspects, such as properties of the casing and individual components, energy efficiency and controls requirements, maintainability, and the content of technical documentation.
The guidelines in this document are intended to help investors, designers and end-users to assess whether the unit meets all practical expectations and requirements.
Recommendations can increase Overall quality level for AHUs
Martin Lenz, the Chairman of the Eurovent Product Group ‘Air Handling Units’, remarked “We, as a Product Group, are convinced that these recommendations can increase the overall quality level for air handling units worldwide.”
