ClimateMaster, Inc., globally renowned provider of geothermal and water source heating and cooling solutions, has announced the addition of its new ClimateMaster family of packaged Air-Cooled Rooftop Units (RTUs) for light commercial HVAC applications. The packaged rooftop systems are part of the manufacturer’s current market expansion strategy which includes several new integrated product lines including smart thermostats.
“This quarter marks an exciting shift for ClimateMaster with the development of a complete line of packaged air-cooled rooftop systems,” said Todd Graff, ClimateMaster’s Chief Executive Officer. “Being a 60-year leader with vast expertise in water-source heat pumps, the creation of this new product category was a natural progression for ClimateMaster and an opportunity for us to provide single-source specifying to building engineers and architects,” Graf explained.

ClimateMaster’s new packaged commercial RTUs range in size from 3 to 25 tons with the choice of gas heat, electric heat, or heat pump and multiple efficiency levels to meet specific project needs. All models include micro-channel coils and scroll compressors. Optional features such as integrated variable frequency drives (VFDs), direct digital controls (DDC), and hot-gas reheat combine to optimize system performance and occupant comfort. ENERGY STAR certified models are also available.

Commercial smart thermostats
Complementing the extensive line of ClimateMaster’s packaged RTUs are its new commercial smart thermostats that provide remote monitoring and control through the company’s simple-to-use mobile app and web portal. Todd Graff further said, “When we examined our value proposition to end-users, seamless integration became an apparent goal entering 2020. In penetrating the HVAC market, we knew providing user-friendly, IoT-enabled technology would be imperative.”
