Only 17 companies worldwide have signed all three of non-profit organization Climate Group’s initiatives to help accelerate the green transition. Danfoss is one of them. This week, Climate Group acknowledges the company’s commitment in a blog post, where the company are highlighted along with Siemens, ABB, Schneider Electric, and European Metal Recycling.
Companies that signed-up for EV100 commit to electrifying their car fleets by 2030. RE100 binds signing companies to switch to 100 percent renewable electricity. And EP100 is about energy productivity – how much is sold for each GWh of energy used. Danfoss pledged to double its energy productivity compared to 2007 levels.
Green transition activities
Danfoss' Senior Vice President, Group Communication & Reputation, Martin Rossen, said: “Danfoss was the first company to join all three of Climate Group’s green transition activities. The reason is simple: sustainability is our business.”
He adds, “Our solutions enable the green transition, and we should take our own medicine. That’s also why we target complete CO2 neutrality by 2030.”
