Carrier is pleased to announce the opening of a new technology development center located at its Gurgaon facility. The new energy-efficient facility features state-of-the-art laboratory and testing facilities to aid in the development of Carrier heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) products; and will serve as an engineering hub in the region.

By opening a development center, Carrier engineers will have greater resources to develop next-generation products using the latest technologies, and can better deliver products that meet the region’s high energy-efficiency standards.

Enhancing Engineering Capabilities

Carrier, a pioneer in high-technology heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration solutions, is a part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp. Giorgio Rusignuolo, Vice President, Engineering, Global Commercial HVAC, UTC Climate, Controls & Security said,

At UTC, we are constantly trying to enhance engineering capabilities across our organization. The new development center in India directly supports those efforts, enabling our team to develop and introduce new high-technology Carrier products for India.”

Energy-Efficient Building Solutions

At Carrier, the sustainability of our products and operations is of the utmost importance

Arun Bhatia, Managing Director, India, UTC Climate, Controls & Security, said, “The new development center will also allow our engineers to focus on products that meet or surpass regulatory requirements for energy efficiency while using lower global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants. Carrier is fully supportive of ‘Make in India’ and the development center will help us localize more energy-efficient products at our Gurgaon factory.”

At Carrier, the sustainability of our products and operations is of the utmost importance. By investing in advanced engineering and development centers like in Gurgaon, our engineers have resources to develop the world's most energy-efficient building solutions that reduce our greenhouse gas impact and lead the phase-out of ozone-depleting refrigerants.

Carrier has led and been part of green building movements across the globe while becoming founding members of green building councils in many countries including the United States, China, France, Argentina, India and Singapore, among others.
